About Me: Annalisse Crosswell

Having spent twenty years of my life in the more beach centred ideals of Auckland, New Zealand, I moved to Vancouver, Canada, ten years ago and grew more accustomed to rain and long winters. Along the way I’ve picked up a plethora of experiences to litter my writing with, from over a decade of experience working in restaurants, to dealing with bureaucracy, one Creative Writing Associates, a Bachelors in Sociology, and all the social momentos a twenty something could dream of.

Now, done with my post secondary education, I’m starting to try my hand in the freelancing arena. Armed with a background in article writing from my jobs as Environment Editor for The Blank Page and Associate News Editor for the Capilano Courier, and now as a grant writer for the Vancouver Visual Art Foundation, I am honing in on new skills.

Over the years I’ve worked two internships in Kiwi advertising agencies, interned for Buzzdial - a New Zealand based start up - doing usability testing, managed content using various Content Management Systems, written content from blogs and short stories to feature articles and case studies, and taken on a role as a grant writer/marketing editor/blog team lead with the team that brings you Art Vancouver each year.

If you’re here because you want to know how I can help your business, I’m keen to dig into any task that may involve writing. I have a flair for finding the right way to phrase things, whether it’s for an article or that grant that might get you and your business where you need to go. In this case, feel free to reach out if you want to know more about me or take a look at the work I have done previously.
